• Introduction:
After the harvest, the majority of the roots will be dried and graded into several groups of products, such as top grade main roots, prong and fiber. Our Half Short American Cultivated Ginseng roots are specially selected main roots and are of the highest grade available. Each individual root is trimmed by hand. They are approximately 1.4 ~ 2.5 inches in length and are divided further into 7 different sizes according to their circumference.
American Cultivated Ginseng The word Panax comes from the greek word ?panakos? meaning ?all-cure?. American ginseng (Panax Quinquefolius) is traditionally used for energy, stress relief, enhancing the immune system, adjusting bodily systems and increasing endurance. American ginseng is a yin tonic, for those who are yang (hot) in nature. It is a general tonic for all sexes and ages, for all seasons, and for long term use.
American ginseng is classified as an adaptogen. An adaptogen acts to normalize the body functions by allowing it to utilize other substances more efficiently and by helping to eliminate those substances that are toxic to the body. Ginseng is a whole body tonic to tonify all organs. It also adjusts and enhances their functions bringing them back into ?synch?. As a result, it may help to alleviate stress.
Ginseng can be enjoyed in capsule, extract, extractum, tea, powder, sliced or whole root form. Capsules are the most popular way to use ginseng and is the most convenient. Powders can be used for baking or cooking or used as a tea. Slices can be eaten at any time of the day for quick energy. Many people enjoy snacking on the whole root similar to eating a carrot. American ginseng tea is one of the most popular and versatile ginseng products. Prepared as a tea it can be used hot or iced and sweetened with honey. It is also excellent for cooking. Just cut open a tea bag and add the tea cut in stew, soup, stuffing, baking, stir fry or any other dish.
